I did not read Fumi's post, but I would think he was talking about Calpain. In fact, based on my reading, MANF works through Calpain in all cases reported, and that will be an easier compound to make and administer. That is speculation, it may well be that you need both to work. I would bet on Calpain or other molecules in the apoptosis process over MANF.
