Celebs sell. Charlie may have turned himself into a larger than life weird character but he's been photographed with the principals of that company and he does show up on time for his current tv show like he did for his other jobs, and if he has promised to do this there's a good chance he will. He probably won't have to be on every show anyway, my guess he'll focus on where the money is to continue with his excessive lifestyle. But he can film segments and be the host.
Anyway there are other celebs out there who might draw in viewers and who'd participate just because they believe in medical MJ or whatever.
If celebs and "names" didn't matter YOU could be featured in your own movie franchise instead of Hugh Jackman but my guess, that ain't gonna happen...
You always have to factor in the competition and there are others out there doing the same.
Well, we've got "Dr. Lou" and for now that's all we know -- given this is in the low trips it's an amazing entry point.
