You don't know what type of political / financial pressure was behind the scene. What if they couldn't come up with the signing bonus and was going to lose the percentage anyway, so Addax was willing to step up to it rather than see it split between all the block members. Who knows.

You have to take into consideration that we're getting free carries that amount to probably somwhere in the ballpark of 500-700 million per block, if not more. Its not bad news, its a different deal, if we were just selling out we probably would have sold those percentages for a much higher valuation. Its not a fair comparison. Plus, percentages are always worth more in proven acreage, our acreage is about to be proven, but its not proven officially yet. Plus, the market isn't yet valuing the price of the full carries in each block into ERHC's share price yet.

snow, you arent looking at the oil that is there. Why would you only look at the aquiring fee and not the prospects? You even said "Block 4 is supposed to be the most attractive block" yet you you are not taking into consideration the oil. And have to remember, this is ONLY one block, in regards to market cap.
