You don't understand - they will do a R/S that will reduce the present shareholders to nothing then increase the A/S to make their shares negligible.

It is great that if/when they merge that there will be new management. There is no bid now so why with all the uncertainty would someone buy with no way to exit. If the merger does not happen you can not take a tax loss on your purchase.

If you buy now you need to hope the new position starts at $1 just to break even.
