You think this is the death knell for CEN? I don't see any proof in your post there, counselor. Not a shred of evidence the sky is falling. (was this post written by that whiny old hag, sen. Lindsey graham??)
The reality of the situation:
First off, most of these "outstanding concerns" are required to be dealt with by HC BEFORE a license is granted - let's review them.
1. The odors will be dealt with by the required filtration system that must be inspected by HC before they get the license.
Problem #1 solved.
2. Same with the security issue - HC requires fences/cameras/trained security personnel be in place before approval. Problem #2 solved.
3. Next on their bitch list is the traffic issues, problems that are easily solved by the city any time a new business begins operation in a zone where no existing business operates, by installing street lights to regulate the added traffic. Another simple issue that can be resolved at a single city council meeting. Problem #3 solved.
4. Last on the list is disposal of waste ... are they really concerned about this or is this a delay tactic or a feeble attempt at a shakedown? I'd be amazed if the city or county doesn't already have a site for dumping and burning yard waste. I think burning the de-budded pot plants, with all intoxicating qualities removed, would help the odors from the landfill, would it not? Problem #4, solved.
Now what is it they're whining about?
