#1697 RE: jhnvtjll #1692

I just checked and they are. I'm looking for a bottom on copper and I think we are very close to it. Below are 1 year and 5 year copper spot charts. In the last year copper bottomed out at about $2.92. That was the only time it fell below $3 since July 2010.

War and manufacturing are two of the top things that move copper. Manufacturing has been in a rut but it won't be forever. War is threatening everywhere.

Ivanhoe is a big time risk but since it has the most copper rich soil in the world (that is known at this time*) the upside to it is tremendous.

*I say known at this time because Banro (BAA) hasn't explored over 1,600 square kilometers of their land yet. Ivanhoe is their next door neighbor. There is a very good chance that Banro has the most copper rich soil in the world which is interesting*.

*I say interesting because China Gold was looking at purchasing a 15% stake in Ivanhoe Mines (top link) earlier this year for their copper. China Gold's money would have allowed Ivanhoe to expand its operation and more quickly exploit their resource. However those talks collapsed (bottom link). After that the president of Ivanhoe Mines left the company to take another position. The company he joined had just lost a key player (Richard Brissenden). That name may look familiar since you've been following Banro because Brissenden left to join Banro!

To top this all off China Gold has a Memorandum of Understanding with Banro already in place. China Gold also went to Canada not too long ago looking for advice on mining companies to buy. They got their advice from CIBC. That name may look familiar too because a couple months before China Gold went to them a high level exec (Thys Terblanche) left CIBC and joined Banro for a bit.

The next 12-24 months are going to be a blast!
