Yes MYEC applied for an ETI number and were waiting approval well when the federal government shuts down no one cares or really works I know this from experience. The ETI number allows MYEC to transfer and move money but not subject to NACHA or ACH rules and fees. Well if MYEC's partners who ever that may be also was waiting on an ETI number and got denied that would explain the QTS server space deal and we got approved for the number. The federal government are the only entity that can approve the use of an ETI number and to get approval you need a system in place etc. That is my two cents on it.

Freeze periods for financial institutions during the holidays are necessary in order to mitigate risk to platform changes. Due to key IT stakeholders generally being out of the office on vacation during the holiday season, like everyone else, integrity is maintained via freeze periods. Types of platform changes that are ONLY allowed during these timeframes are emergency fixes, compliance issues, legal issues, regulatory issues, etc. Slimmed down skeleton IT crews are always available for these types of Freeze code periods.

Don't listen to anyone stating otherwise.
