The post you're responding to had nothing to do with emotions. It had nothing to do with the short-term.
There's really no history of the stock market having a meaningful decline when GDP is rising and corporate profits are rising faster than stock prices.
I don't know why you believe corporations are turning pessimistic on their future prospects. Many many surveys/articles say the opposite:
