Do you know how many salvage permits have been issued as well?

I too have searched for that info. The best i can tell the last salvage agreement issued by the state was issued to Jupiter Wreck, Inc. back in the late 80's. Since that time, no salvage company has been able to meet the requirements and turn in the required reports is how it was told to me. The state says you "can" still get one, but there are no guarantees.

My guess is that nobody has really put forth a good effort since then. I think one of two companies are on the verge, SFRX and GME. Both have multiple exploration leases with dig and identify addendums. The first to find a ballast pile will test those waters. I honestly don't believe anyone with the money, equipment and know-how has tried lately, but SFRX certainly has what it takes. I'm dying to see what happens when a capable company finally pushes the issue again.
