#70056 RE: DoubleJ23 #70046

I was wondering about your diabetic foot ulcer market estimate...is your number conservative or do you have a rationale here...?

It was something more than conservative as I underestimated the number of possible patients for treatment by at least a factor of 3 (I only used the number of lesions--which I still underestimated--and didn't include more generalized infections) and realized I underestimated market penetration by at least 1/2. In a later post I acknowledged this and as an after thought I would now estimate >$500 million a year, depending on the pricing.

One impact on pricing is the perception that an ointment, eye drop or ear drop is less expensive than the same drug administered orally and especially one by IV, like B-ABSSSI. This also has to influence sales estimates and therefore valuation.
