Nationalization will not happen to Fannie because it isn't within the framework of legality. Fannie is in a conservatorship. All the requirements of a conservatorship have been met and the government will have to release them as they no longer in trouble. With the 3rd amendment being illegal, it will have to be removed and the conservatorship ended. Nationalization would be followed by public uproar as to it's illegality.

I feel confident Fannie will not be nationalized. To the contrary, I feel the GSE's will be freed from conservatorship with possible new regulations to provide a larger safety net. I see the pps rising because time is running out on the plaintiffs and the defendants will never give up.
