If MM's couldn't short stock, there would be NO market in stocks at this level. They do not keep inventory on hand unless they get caught. They short all these type stocks on the way up and work to even their positions and when they don't, they know the volume will eventually slow and they will be able to entice sellers as the price drops. It's the way it works at this level, always has and always will.
That said, I like LLLI as a play longer term and will maintain a core position until the scenario changes or the price runs hard.
