Now you are trying to tell us that there is a huge market for a 700$ phone which will eat all consumer spending until christmas (all that with an iOS market share of about 10% worldwide) but you deny there is a market for highest end sub 1000$ 2 in 1 laptops which allows you to do any work and multimedia that has only been possible on Laptops before.

so do you expect to see anything besides the typical 0%-3% revenue gain guidance for 2015 from Intel mgmt next month?? You know..the same 0-3% gain they would have gotten just by sticking with last years product line??

regarding QCOM..they have their own issues/risks as an investment..but we should probably move over to that board to discuss if you are really interested.

I figured out how to detach from MicrosoftLive this past week on Windows 8.1. With Windows 8.1, you are forced to activate by creating a cloud account and you have to login using your cloud credentials. There is a way to go back to what you had in Windows 7 or Windows 8 - a local account. It's not obvious but I found an article (actually lots of them) that provide directions to go back to what you had in the first place.

I really do not understand Microsoft's approach here. Basically they are providing some really bad default behavior which a majority of their customers won't want. Yes, you can undo it but why put upgrade customers through this pain in the first place?

Apple's approach is to make the functionality available but not change something on you by default.
