The good news is that you're wrong about your fearful assertions, and you probably wouldn't find any shares to short that would hurt your portfolio. Also you still have a chance to secure a position before the next update. This is the high holiday season, so I wouldn't be traveling for a few weeks, if at all, but bet things start getting interesting around here, before long, as the company has stated in it's news, and filings.
