In my opinion, if etek is going to really succeed it is going to be based on their bypass filter program and the super lubricant. I dont think they're synthetic oils can compete price wise with the more established and better backed co's. They're core sales have not gone up in the last couple of years according to financials The last quarter reporting showed the only significant increase in sales and appears to be because of bypass system. In questioning the lack of presence in N.American market I was surprised of the number of companies that offer the bypass system. They seem to have found a niche market in S. America though.
