You are so right. I was blessed to know an investment banker years ago that actually performed the r/m for small to medium company's. He was paid with cash and shares and had this market for lunch. He would have a dump fest to receive his pay following the merger, but never used a t-trade. Not once.

I used to watch him with great marvel. He died very young worth $5M. Great guy....
