Well, you should be happy that, inspired by you, I wound up mixing a pitcher of gimlets last night for some guests. Well, you and the fact that I had leftover limes and simple syrup.

I am old-school enough to use freshly squeezed lime juice and simple syrup. I am aware of gimlet recipes that call for Rose's lime juice, but that stuff was banned from my house a long time ago. I know Rose's has a long history, but a look at the ingredients list on the modern American version...
