The IMF reviews the basket of currencies for SDR ( Special Drawing Rights) every 5 years. A review is due next year. The China wants the yuan included in the basket. The BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) have been pushing hard for an alternative the the buck. This should be interesting.
