This particular bit of "GOOD OLD IR/PR" is from Entogenetics, not KBLB.

I guess if one is hunting rabbits hard enough, then everything that moves looks like a rabbit.

If you re-read the article, the only things that Jake Long, director of business development at EntoGenetics,was quoted as saying were:

"It is significantly tougher that Kevlar,"

We already knew this (spider silk's properties in general).

"We're expecting spider silk body armor to be about half the weight."

Another bit of info that can easily be found on the internet.

"The military is really where we are hoping to build our business,"

If they can first work out their patent problems with the USPTO.


The starting gate has been opened for them but herein lies the inability to move forward.

"We are working on breeding our own elite lines and hybrids,"

In other words,we have this "patent-pending" technology that we are working with and at this point have to review how much capital to place into this research endeavor presently,as we still haven't been able to secure a patented method as of yet.


Everything else appears to be paraphrased.
