And another reply, to ensure there is more than one town official stating this.
Lakeshore Council is now considering policies that would permit development of medical marijuana and hemp operations within Lakeshore. At present, these policies do not exist. Unless planning documents permit certain uses they are defacto prohibited.

Thank you sir. I would assume then by your response there is no "grandfather" clause at this time. I must say the steps you and the town are taking should be commended, and show strong foresight, and the willingness to accept and adopt a new industry based on the needs of the town and its residents. I only wish more communities were more forthcoming in a similar manner.

Correct. You cannot "grandfather" a use that does not yet exist! The medical marijuana facility is being proposed.

I would say that makes it pretty clear. If those are not their responses and I am lying, please have the town counsel contact me and I will plead guilty to misreprenting the views of a government official.
