Great load, and great point. One I was going to include w all the possible reasons for VXX climb, but thought it a bit kookish to speak of.

That's how terror events occur, people forget, groups form, strengthen , plan and act. Not really much anyone can do to fully stop it, but these terror events are cyclical as well. And Boston was a while back.

Just too many geo political and market fundamental variables in play at the moment to not at Least off set ones longer term positions w some inverse etf action.

Putin reads Obama like a book. He knows that this peace plan he scribbled out on the back of an in flight cocktail napkin will be declined. Why? Because if one ever wanted to piss off Obama and get him to react, just upstage his thunder before he was about to have a Reganesque moment. In this case , it was for Putin to release " a peace plan" before the NATO conference tomorrow . Of course , the deal is not putins to take, but I would not be surprised by an unforeseen announcement of US fueled NATO giving weapons to ukraine, and that is exactly what Putin wants, a reason to full scale invade, all the way to the Kiev.

Ukraibe drives VXX, if any had any doubt, look at the headline developments and the volatility aggregate correlation. Today, a cease fire is implemented and VXX drops. Who among us thinks the rebels or Russians will hold true to the spirit of this arrangement ? Anyone? .... Bueler?
