#3085 RE: jugs #3083

This response is from very limited knowledge on my part. Seel and others with a better background and understanding could provide more depth and perhaps clean up any misperceptions of mine.

" Depending on where the spinal cord and nerve roots are damaged, the symptoms can vary widely, from pain to paralysis to incontinence.[2][3] Spinal cord injuries are described at various levels of "incomplete", which can vary from having no effect on the patient to a "complete" injury which means a total loss of function."

The answer to your questions is yes. Stem cells are being looked at to potentially overcome both. This is also true for CUR where a new pathway may be needed to to bridge semi functioning areas presently blocked by a non functioning zone due to ALS.

Since this board is about CUR, just understand that CUR uses different stem cells than the company in the news release and can produce the needed cells rapidly. The other company uses embryonic stem cells which some may be opposed to. The other company is using a platform that came from Geron. Their focus is injury at present as opposed to disease like CUR. It seems most information from trials etc. will be cross beneficial, hence the share price reaction from CUR.

Hope that is helpful....A little help here please, dd and science pro's. ;-)
CUR having a great day.
