Not familiar with variant charts. Do you mean just looking at different time frames?

What I'm referring to is that the (plane) traditional price time charts are mans attempt to model growth patterns in nature which are not confined to a 2 dimensional plane that they are represented on/communicated to us on. Natural growth patterns occur in 3&4 dimensions.
