Well if you would do all that in relation to PPHM, Bavi and Dr Yo pop in case you were Bayer, then it must be because you did not put yourself in Dr Yopp's shoes for a moment, because I don't think he sees it that way.
A) Yopp is at UTSW, a professor and paid consultant of Bayer/Onyx.
B) He runs the clinical trial that can make Sorafenib+Bavi SOC in stead of Sorafenib alone.
C) If he takes pribe money and boycotts his OWN trial he'd better get a very big check or lifetime contract with Bayer because who on Earth would EVER hire a guy that shoots his own team down.
D) I also think that Doctor Yopp in view of the upcoming success, because his name will be associated with it (and his name was already all over the brochures) will prefer not to end up in jail and is probably aware that the sabotage of the Bavi Lung Cancer trial will have increased control.
E) And as for Bayer/Onyx why would they even do such a stupid thing to win a few months while they can enter as part of a new SOC in cocktail with Bavituximab and extend their revenues by making the challenge for anyone that wants to beat that Sorafenib+Bavi a lot more difficult.
This guy is at the verse of success and his consultancy with Bayer/Onyx has been publicly disclosed! No indoor under the table hanky-panky business. An honest scientist close to late Dr Thorpe, Dr Brekken and very probably also to SK. He knows Bavi will be on the table, with or without him, then why not associate with PPHM's success and work with Bayer/Onyx as the #1 Liver Cancer kings. What better collaboration could one want here?
EBS, you are a most fascinating guy. You have contributed some of the meatiest insights to PPHM on the planet and then this:
Then, I'd send my biggest, baddest shark in a room with Yopp with a contract and a check for a million dollars that requires he delay releasing any information from the IST until Mid-2015 and give him 10 minutes to sign it before the offer was gone.
Please don't ever stop contributing because with the 10% above, we get 90% right on stuff. Thanks.
