really?...well lets see...silk worms have been cultivated for thousands of years...that part of the equation shouldnt be rocket science for a genius to figure out...
initially, the concept was simple...mutate the worms to produce spider silk mixed in with their worm silk...that was accomplished years ago...then increase your population and start cranking out tons of ms...
hasnt happened...why not?...the machinery used to spin the fiber wouldnt work...then additional processing was required...then consistency issues...quality control issues...the fiber had to be examined by experts to determine how they could get it to be weaved...
hurdle after hurdle all directly related to the fiber itself...any other hurdles not yet known about because they havent been solved yet???
but we instead should be concerned about the process of worm silk production that was solved 5000 years ago?...or better yet, not be willing to see what appears to be obvious because kim isnt willing to communicate?...
