Yay! .. lol .. Fey and Poehler also brought up Hollywood's sexism, ageism, the civil rights movement and marital woes when referring to this year's crop of nominees. Per usual, TV barely got a notable mention.
They also paid special attention to the evening's Cecil B. DeMille recipient, longtime prankster George Clooney, whom they'd mocked last year with a joke about "Gravity" that turned on him never wanting to settle down with a woman his own age.
"George Clooney married Amal Alamuddin this year," Fey began. "Amal is a human rights lawyer who worked on the Enron case, was an advisor to Kofi Annan regarding Syria and was selected for a three-person U.N. commission investigating rules of war violations in the Gaza Strip. So tonight, her husband is getting a lifetime achievement award. ... So stupid!"
