x1power: Glu first needs to make a decent casino app before it enters online gambling. All it has is it's outdated poker app and a below average "Casino World" third party app in beta. It does have a minority interest in "Bee Cave Blackjack and Slots", which has nice graphics but has not caught on yet.
I don't believe the Apple App store or the Google Play store allow real money gaming apps in their stores yet (even in states where its legal). If GLUU did get a gaming license in a gaming approved state, I don't know where they would list there app at...???
There are casino apps in the freemium model out there that are making a lot of money by offering real-world rewards like travel, hotel/resort stays, and entertainment prizes and they are partnered with the likes MGM. "myVEGAS Slots" is an example of one.
I like the idea of glu entering smart-tv boxes like amazon's FireTV (which glu announced they would enter), AppleTV and Roku vs Xbox One and PS4. I think users will always prefer to play high powered console games on the PS4 vs the weaker mobile games, hence, that's why they have the gaming console in the first place. I think the next wave of TV smart boxes with access to the gaming App stores is the way to go.
