if you get rid of all the appoints, retains and attends there is not a lot there.

Appoints are easy. Anyone can appoint a board member.

Retains are easy. Just go get someone to do something for you. They are paid, so makes things easier since they want to make money.

Attends. Please. Could attend something every day and that would make the list look great. I attended the bathroom 10 minutes ago so I better add that to the list. I might attend lunch shortly. Oh yeah, I have to attend the dry cleaners to pick up my clothes.
