AIDO: Advanced ID Receives $135,000 RFID Microchip Order

Advanced ID Corporation AIDO, a complete solutions provider in the radio frequency identification (RFID) market, today announced it has received an order from the Government of Newfoundland and the University of Prince Edward Island to utilize the company's RFID microchips for the identification of fish in Atlantic Canada. The order which is valued at more than $135,000 will require Advanced ID to immediately begin delivering its RFID microchips, readers and accessories.

Barry Bennett, President and CEO of Advanced ID Corporation stated, "We are continuing to see significant growth in the use of RFID microchips for the identification of animals, the benefits of which far exceed any other form of identification and trace back. This contract further strengthens our position as the top supplier of RFID microchips in Canada."

Bennett further commented, "With regard to our progress in Thailand, contract negotiations will resume immediately after their election which is slated for February 13, 2005. Despite this delay, the successful demonstration of our identification and trace back system for Thailand's poultry industry has created opportunities with other Asian countries inflicted with bird flu. We have recently begun acting on these opportunities and expect to provide updates on our developments in the months ahead."

In other developments, Advanced ID, in conjunction with its distribution partner in Argentina, has established manufacturing capabilities in Argentina for local production of its DataTRAC(TM) RFID livestock tags. The RFID tags will be distributed throughout Paraguay, Uruguay and Argentina. Advanced ID also recently met again with government officials in Brazil who are conducting a formal evaluation of Advanced ID's DataTRAC(TM) RFID tags, readers and its livestock trace back management system as a solution for cattle identification. In Australia, Advanced ID recently shipped its newly designed sheep tags for a field trial at one of Australia's largest sheep processing plants. Upon conclusion of the trial, the company will meet with government and industry officials to seek approval of Advanced ID's identification and trace back technology for Australia's sheep industry.
