The "means" are as important as the "end". JW forgot that... He clearly believes this compound holds great promise...and evidently thought the help from the former Gov and wife might jump start and fund further research to substantiate his beliefs and the compound itself. His efforts appear to have started out in an acceptable fashion (use of the corporate jet and a cleverly devised meeting with the former gov). Once Mrs. McDonnell became involved it "snowballed" out of his control.
