I think PB is a great guy and has good knowledge of the subject but maybe not the best speaker . Maybe the nerds could write the script and PT could deliver it.

Something that has really hit me hard recently is how out of date I am to the demographic of the people that make up the whos who of cutting edge computer technology and what makes them tick.

I am mid 60's in age and come from the formal presentation era when executives were in shirt and tie and many times a coat even if the weather was stifling. Image, image, image.

The new breed Sphere is addressing, especially in the development end such as appear at Briforum, are the young lions who live in T-shirts and jeans (a la Steve Jobs), maybe came out of starting a company in their garage, but are the movers and shakers when it comes to developing new technology. They could care less about image, just concerned with making things as productive and easy to use for the rest of us dummies of the world.

Thus, many things I see I would do differently but my way is most probably now the wrong way to the vast majority.

I have to admit, I don't give a damn how they (our mgt and engineering teams)do it as long as they keep pumping out such a rapid stream of new ideas and being able to market those ideas rapidly and efficiently.

Well PB started with discussing about gaming which perked my ears a bit but subsided when he didn't run more of it. The rest is tech talk which is all alien talk to me. I think these guys all think alike, and understands each other's language, so it sound like the conference looks a bit informal. But I agree, felt like the delivery was quite weak. I don't care as long as the booth's presentations were impressive.
