But do you agree with those who claim CPU innovation has stalled because Intel lacks competition in the market for PC processors?

You losers never get over it do you? AMD was incapable of delivering sufficient volume, their products were unreliable and of poor quality. They lacked technical support, sufficient chipsets and stable drivers. The OEMs couldn't stuff AMD's datasheets into their motherboards so they went with the company that could deliver. So yes, Intel now has a monopoly which they earned by out manufacturing and out delivering the competition and the losers such as yourself just can't move on with their lives. You're like a rabid sports fan who just can't get over what they think was a blown pass interference call in a playoff game years ago. Your beer's flat and the popcorn's stale. Get over it. You lost and life has passed you by.
