If I were more serious about the donation, I'd probably try to contact the groups and give them an opportunity to vote for 1 of the 3 worst causes published.

Inform them that no comment or reply - would mean that I'd select their cause.

I'd also welcome any other ideas they had for disposing of the shares... it'd be fascinating to hear their TAKEs and opinions on that piece
