My home town liquor store has such a license...they do it once a week...you say Costco doesn't have a license ?...is there any DD to support this ?

100% verified. State liquor laws. For them to even suggest it was fraudulent. You cannot serve liquor in any establishment in the country without a retail liquor license. Period. They outright mislead. There will be no tastings for sure.

An on-sale retail licensee licensed to sell wine or distilled spirits may offer instruction on the product by furnishing not more than three tastings to any individual in one day. A single tasting of distilled spirits may not exceed one-quarter of an ounce, while a single tasting of wine may not exceed one ounce. (Section 23386 and Rule 52)

Although I cant see Costco taking on the liability of serving a spirit on site and having the demo people having to check ID's
