There are strong allegations that the last election was pretty rigged... It appears pretty clear that Putin is leading Russia down an old path of them against the West. Sanctions might pressure internal forces to rise up, but then again look at North Korea and Cuba under Castro. Anyway, not sure why the market is having it's day today, but assume Russian tensions is contributing. All JMHO also...
