People sell stocks for multitudes of reasons; the most common is that they need money to pay a bill (tuition etc) and they can't wait 13 days for the beginning of the window. Often their invested monies are their only source of liquid funds.
Don't try to read anything into 1.2million shares over an 8 day period.
