(1) Maybe the technology is bogus and doesn't really exist.
(2) Sometimes you get lucky....afterall, not every great invention comes out of IBM or GM or Microsoft or GE or Pfizer.
(3) I wouldn't worry about that.....Don't think that Babe Ruth has to be the one who wins every game with a home run. Sometimes another lesser-known player produces the winning hit, too.

Has anybody ever seen this product (EM-100)?. I recall a few years ago when I lived in Dallas. A little kid went missing and this new company went to the Dallas PD and said, hey we have a groundbreaking product that you can use to search for different things, it has a setting for drugs, bomb material and heres one for cadaver. They bought it, it didnt work (of course) they had it taken apart and anylized and it turned out to be nothing more than a plastic box, a few wires and a small printed circuit board.
The moral is... I would want to see this thing being tested in the presence of some organization or something, that can report this thing actually works.
