Old_D: I think you're supposed to turn the other cheek.
Wrong, no one is duty bound to turn the other cheek and hand over his or her wallet when being mugged. Maybe for self-preservation, but not because if you don't the "law" is coming after you and the mugger is to be set free.
Sorry, but that is absurd.
On SI in some cases the cheek was turned for months and the muggings continued. The "law" did not step in even when made aware of the regular muggings. All to often, those muggers with preferential status were only reprimanded in situations where the victim eventfully fought back. And then, The muggers were only remanded in concert with the victim because the “law” only took notice because two sets of arms were flailing about.
This is my last post on this subject, because I long ago exercised my power over SI Administration. I fired them...gg
