No, but he definitely got a point. Look at how Intel's CPU performance improved with Core2 at the heat of the AMD battle. Today's updates, like Haswell, are somewhat lukewarm and these just don't make people switch to new hardware. There's always demand for faster hardware but Intel's 10% upgrades just don't do it. As I repeatedly stated: Intel should build a third highest performance core for those who are willing to pay. There's a market for that and don't forget about image.

why is it that intel apologists immediately add amd to the conversation when the monopoly behavior is mentioned?
the victim here is all the consumers who would buy a computer, not amd. when a company is a monopoly, they don't have to advance the technology anymore. intel never could wait this long to release a new generation if they had a viable competitor in this space.
