Vid, I don't agree with your assessment one iota, not that I'm against you but I just don't agree with you on this post! As usual we can agree to disagree on some issues here. When the pps rose 4 business days ago for two days the gloomers (or the ariad-at-5-is overvalued group or in short I'll call them the apolo group) were so silent as if their tongues were caught in a bear trap. The moment it reversed in the last two days, they got energized and they started spewing these negative diatribes again. Likewise with TC, SS and Amp, we're just highlighting the possibilities that the pps will most likely go north if some of these catalysts come to fruition. What is wrong with that? You can call us positives and we can call you negatives, it really doesn't matter. Is this not fair and balanced. We both have the same goal which is a good return on our investments. We just happen to be optimistic on the catalysts and management and your camp just happens to be pessimistic on management and the drugs too. And by the way, if you re-read their posts, they have referred to us as delusionals, fools, antagonists and arm wavers.
They have outscored us on this one.

BTW, One poster from your so admired camp quoted these -

1. "In three years, if it somehow survives, it should do OK."
2. "Biotechs are event driven, period.."

He has given up ARIAD for dead and yet he said biotechs are event driven. If his name is Merlin, then I would agree with him.

I agree with all three of your points.

However, consistently blaming Ariad management for the outcome of his investment decision is ridiculous. I don't know for sure but I don't believe Ariad management forced him to invest in their company and I don't believe they prevented him from selling before the crash.

A balanced board is more useful to everyone. I'd just prefer less whining.
