There was the 30 day countdown tweet from around 7/15, which puts it at around 8/15. If Vitamin Fizz is being produced say the whole week of 8/11 to 8/15, and it's being produced right there near New York, it doesn't seem too difficult to take some of the first pallets off the line on 8/11 and get it into some stores by 8/15.
I bet when they made that tweet, it was based on what they already knew the schedule for making Vitamin Fizz was. If that production run was going to be done in the second week of August, then it would make sense to announce that they would be ready to start selling it then, or at least be able to announce that a major production run has just been completed on schedule on the 15th. If it's a day or two later when you're actually able to find it in certain stores, who cares.
