#34108 RE: Indica #34075

There are no legal exceptions. 25 plants per parcel. stervc points out that Emerald could have divided it's vast acreage into multiple parcels separated by 50 feet, as required by law.

They didn't. They said so in their own press release. They said they were operating under an exemption, but they didn't know that the exemption was removed in Feb. 2012. Stervc was told by the tax assessor that you can grow a maximum of 25 plants on a single parcel of land. Period. Surrounded by a fence, and 50 feet between it and any other parcel. Period. But that is not what Emerald has done, pictures a press release prove it.

The pictures shown of "Emerald Med Farms" clearly show an illegal marijuana growing operation.

Also - they have not identified which co-op they belong to. I think if they did belong to a co-op they would have said so. They can't be a collective, because they are a for-profit company.

So, it's safe to assume that even if there is a harvest (hey, what happened to that?) they have no place to legally sell whatever they pull up out of the ground.
