I eventually opened a second acct. at Etrade-- 15 minutes+ wire transfer

No problem purchasing at all

So on Monday, Scottrade would no longer let you buy......

Yeah I was in this months ago during a small run, tried to buy back in today at bottom and was stopped by Scottrade. Said I needed to call my local branch...

Thats QUITE STRANGE---wouldn't you all say? Did they know ahead of time?
