Open your pic in MS Paint to re-size it by percentage...do this before uploading...
note that you will lose some clarity when resizing >15-20%.

Gadwin Printscreen has a great free picture capturing program that you can set up to re-size automatically
without loosing any focus...and many other terrific features.
I've used it for years.
