IMO it is a very good thing. In my DD on him he was not a manager - he was a negotiator for business development deals (and he had some success primarily due to working within a company that already had steady revenue / cash flow).
I think from a day-to-day management perspective he was over his head as a CEO. Other thing to consider is that PAR might not have liked him much. Things could turn interesting here.
Also need to remember that he was hand picked by Zerbe - and that the two of them have known one another for years. Zerbe has not be involved in the day-to-day since last year. At his age that's exactly why he picked Khosla.
More I think about this the more I got to believe this involves PAR - ie not working well with them.
