IMO- the next round of test weaves that Charlie Howland will attempt @ WM will involve a combination of MS yarn (already proven stand alone fabric)and BR yarn in some % yarn combination with MS to create a new fabric with some of the enhanced strength characteristics of both. KT alluded to this in a either a 2013 PR or 4th estate interview last year (can't seem to find it in my archives).
A DOD announcement could come at any time over the next several months and could appear in the public record for all to see.
Finally, test weaves of MS combined with Kevlar are still contemplated in the weaving pipeline at WM - IMO
