If there really is any potential in oil sands, Wyoming is also sitting on much of this gunk, it's all down the Western slope of the rockies into Colorado even. Many, many years ago a friend made a fortune on an outfit called Flying Diamond Drilling which was exploring these very tar sands... we might want to see who is looking in WY and CO... I still don't see how they can realise any profits after a lengthy expensive extraction process
