let's play what if ...

what if the proven reserves are as good as i expect them to be (tens of billions) ... and the pps goes above a dollar ... or much higher ... then taking profits now wasn't a very good idea - was it ?

here's two great pieces of advice to investing in a stock:
1) the wise investor has an exit plan the moment he buys a stock ... (a goal based on why he bought it in the first place)
re: uspr - why did you buy the stock? because you heard rumors that there is a lot of gold - and if there is that much gold, there could be a buyout - and at much higher pps than .22 - this was a speculative buy ... and we are no where near my exit point ... strategies can change ... exit points can change ... but why would you want to change your strategy now - when it looks like the reason for buying uspr may be coming true very soon?

2) you sell your losers, and ride your winners
all you need is one real big winner, and it makes up for many, many losers
re: uspr ... you may want to take profits when it becomes a 2- 3- 5- 10- bagger ... depends on your investing philosophy to begin with ... if you are using "speculative" money - and you didn't take out a mortgage to buy the stock, then you entered the trade knowing you could lose a large chunk of the money ---
there is speculative money - money you risk knowing you could lose a large chunk ... and then there is "safe" investment money --- money you put into blue chips - high dividend yielding stocks ... etc. --- stocks you put into your ira's
it also depends on your age ... the older you are, the more conservative you should be ... a lot more "safe" - a lot less speculative
so if you are using speculative money.... then why would you want to get out now .... ride the winner
if this is the only holding in your portfolio, then i hope you are either very young, or very lucky ...
but if your portfolio is adjusted properly, then the last thing you should want to do, is sell a winner prematurely
MOST PEOPLE, HOW OFTEN DO YOU GET TO INVEST IN A 10+- BAGGER? WHY SELL NOW?WHAT WAS YOUR GOAL? WHAT WAS YOUR EXIT STRATEGY?

btw, several people claimed to have sold the other day .... bet they wished they held it a little longer ... imo, a lot longer

This stock has been a joke for the last 6 years. They shuffle the deck chairs every couple of years. Did they ever resolve the lawsuits where the landholder says they don't have rights anymore?

The Iceman is good for a pop in share price but then reality sets in.
