This chart courtesy Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis shows the total amount of debt in the USA is now 60 trillion dollars. This cannot possibly be paid off, and it will be inflated away. Gold and silver will benefit.
"Gold, unlike all other commodities, is a currency...and the major thrust in the demand for gold is not for jewelry. It’s not for anything other than an escape from what is perceived to be a fiat money system, paper money, that seems to be deteriorating." -– Alan Greenspan, ex-US Federal Reserve Chairman, August 23, 2011
Lake Shore Gold’s long-term vision is to build a major gold mining producer starting from a strong base of assets in Timmins, Ontario.
The Company believes that it has discovered the western extension of the historic Timmins Gold Camp.
The Timmins West Complex includes the Timmins West Mine, where production is growing, the Gold River Trend project and the 144 exploration property.
The Company also has an attractive land position on the east side of Timmins at the Bell Creek Complex (including the Bell Creek Mine and Mill and a number of prospective exploration properties) and also has a large, near-surface, potential open-pitable resource at the Fenn-Gib project, located 60 kilometres east of Bell Creek.
While much work remains, the Company believes that its assets, collectively, have the potential for large-scale production, which could support further growth in the future.
