New York recently signed into law a new marijuana law. It's for medical marijuana only and only the edible types of products. The new ownership, being located in NY, may be attempting to capitalize on this. It should be relatively easy and inexpensive to do what they said they will do, which is distribute products. I assume that the products can't be shipped via traditional carrier from where they are produced, so an employee of the company would have to drive out there, pick them up, and transport them back to NY to be distributed. Of course, that means that all the paperwork for both ends would have to be in order, as well as meeting any laws involving the interstate transfer of marijuana. If this can't be accomplished, the products would have to be manufactured in NY, for distribution within it's borders. I'm sure Steven Baritz knows all of this. If he has a plan, it could be accomplished for the cost of a couple of vans, a business location, and filing fees. The upside is enormous. Give him a little space and see how this works. I don't believe there are many, if any, marijuana product distribution companies in NY. I do know you can't just ship it through the US mail.
